Michael D McGuire:  

Michael was born in Lancaster, Ohio. He is married to number 3 (final one). His schools include Abington High School, class of 1963. Then,Temple University (Bach of Music, performance). His work is his own photography business - Real Photography, now relocated to Atlanta Georgia (actually, Tucker GA). He was diagnosed with cancer in late 2011. A slow growing form that a golf-ball sized tumor at the base of his tongue at the top of his throat, which he didn't even feel or have awareness of, along with a couple of lymph nodes on the right side of his neck. Thanks to his daughter, he came back to Philadelphia to the Abramson Cancer Center at the U of P for surgery with two of the most amazing surgeons anywhere. Dr's Weinstein and O'Malley invented something called TORS (Trans-Oral Robotic Surgery) and had it approved in 2010. he operation was April 6th, 2012, followed by a second surgery to remove the lymph nodes that were involved on May 4th, 2012 by Dr. Kokot at USC Keck School of Medicine that they had trained.
